Jack Browne  |  ED Online ID #16416 |  August 10, 2007

FreeWave Technologies has introduced the MM2 900-MHz spread-spectrum radio, said to be the world's highest-performance wireless spread-spectrum radio in the industry's smallest form factor. The radio is ideal for advanced military equipment, such as robotic systems and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It measures just 50.8 x 31.5 x 9.6 mm with a GaAs FET front end, but can send wireless data at rates of 56 kb/s to 1.2 Mb/s. The radio features 350-kHz occupied bandwidth with a 20-mile range.
